Can the Lions go 4 in a row?

Well can they? They said three was impossible too.

If they fail, how far behind the eight ball will they have put themselves in the attempt?

They can, and probably will. But I hope they don't. When 1 team continually wins something time and time again, that sport gets very boring.

Take the F1 (Ferrari), the V8's (Holden Racing Team, and to a lesser extent, Stone Brothers Racing), and the Commonwealth Games (Australia). All these events went through, or are still in, a rather boring and predictable phase.

If the Lions were to lose, they may not have to be just behind the 8-ball, they may have to be off the whole pool table.

While I'm no fan of the Gorillas, I'd rather see them win the flag rather than Essengorn, Eddiewood, the Adelaide Cows or Port Poower. In Aussie Rules, you want your tribe to win, and if they can't you don't want the tribes you can't stand to lift the flag.

Our sport is not like the Commonwealth Games and F1 (when were any of those exciting btw), it will never become boring, no matter who the champs are.

REB

What a great idea Fred!

Yes, Brisbane Lions can win four in a row. Probably got as good a chance or more than the other 15 sides.

Welcome aboard everybody.

REB, is your email tag in any way directed at Big Dog?

KiwiinOz, Brisbane have spent many years with no real success, allow us to enjoy the fame while we can. Yes they will start losing at some stage, but instead of knocking them acknowledge the commitment and talent of the team.

Can i still claim Vossy as my second cousin, despite the fact that he has caused me heartbreak for the last two years?

My grandma was sitting at his table at a family wedding late last year, and got a photo. She had some idea he was pretty good at footy...

Collingwood make us all pay the price. If you don't barrack for them the endless Eddiebile makes for compulsive retching. If you do barrack for em you get a team that lifts your hopes all year only to deliver a big shitburger on grand final day.

Enjoy Benno *BURP*

Had alook at their list on the AFL Website the other day and it is still formidable, but...if...who knows...Eagles? Maybe? A chance?

"Yes they will start losing at some stage, but instead of knocking them acknowledge the commitment and talent of the team."

I DO acknowledge the fact that the Lions are a great team, with some of the best players of the game among their ranks. I was just trying to say that if they do win, again and again, the sport of AFL will start to become predictable, and that can't be good for any sport.

P.S - Before I get asked, I have no affiliations with any AFL club. I still struggle to understand the rules of the game.

Don't worry Kiwi, neither does the Gorilla Girl. Poor old Banana Babe just downloads stories from other sites and adds 'go Lions' at the end ha ha.

REB

PS - Get on the Cats son, the Lions of the future!

I'm sure I've said this before REB, you are such a bitch sometimes!

Oh Yeah... GO LIONS!

Brisbane 4 in a row? Don't rule it out. I reckon they are (or should be) warmer favourites for 2004 than they would have been this time last year for 2003, just by looking at who they've kept, and their likely challengers.

Port and Collingwood might have letdowns after their double disappointments. The Crows are a possibility if Carey fires, and the Eagles will be thereabouts. And the Swans? Well, who knows what they could do. The Hawks have a dream draw. But none of them appeal against the stability and class of the Lions.

As I said last year, Lucy, enjoy it while you can!

"As I said last year, Lucy, enjoy it while you can! "

Yes Chris still enjoying, biggest concern so far, is will Bushy re-sign. I see Alastair Lynch was even trying to talk him around (Age this morning).

Only other concern is should I take holidays at Christmas or now!
Life's grand!

oh yeah... GO THE LIONS! :)
