Round 5 tips!

If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man,

You win some, lose some, all the same to me,

The pleasure is to play, makes no difference what you say,

I don't share your greed, the only card I need is

The Ace Of Spades

Playing for the high one, dancing with the devil,

Going with the flow, it's all the same to me,

Seven or Eleven, snake eyes watching you,

Double up or quit, double stake or split,

The Ace Of Spades

You know I'm born to lose, and gambling's for fools,

But that's the way I like it baby,

I don't wanna live for ever,

And don't forget the joker!

Pushing up the ante, I know you've got to see me,

Read 'em and weep, the dead man's hand again,

I see it in your eyes, take one look and die,

The only thing you see, you know it's gonna be,

The Ace Of Spades

Try two Bex and a good lay down!

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Thursday, 27 April 2006 07:04 (nineteen years ago)

OK let's see if I can improve on bugger all....

Richmond v Carlton (MCG) - CARLTON (Sookie Bubba Richardson couldn't possibly play well two weeks in a row - could he?)
Melbourne v Kangaroos (MCG) - KANGAROOS (backs against the wall)
Adelaide v Bulldogs (AAMI)- BULLDOGS (maybe Adelaide are beatable!)
Sydney v Geelong (TS) - SYDNEY (Talk of this being moved to SCG
West Coast v Brisbane (Subi) - BRISBANE (Big Beau's back as she scratchs for reasons!)
St Kilda v Fremantle (Aurora) - FREMANTLE (Well that's what the coin said when I tossed it!)
Collingwood v Prot Adelaide (TD) - COLLINGWOOD (Breaks my heart to say it! Collingwood have to prove they can play away to be a real contender!!!)
Hawthorn v Essendon (MCG) - HAWTHORN (Clarkson's lads too good I think considering the injuries to Chrisso's boys)

Symonds to get MOTM against the Bangaladeshies 102n.o. Well done son!

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Thursday, 27 April 2006 07:11 (nineteen years ago)

Its all about the game, and how ya play it...

Tigers by a goal.
Roos by a goal. Holland FF for D's thus no chance.
Cows in a belter, although if Riccuto is out this may change
Swans by enough, tough trip from Geelong to Western Syd-a-ney
Wet Teast by thousands
Saints cos Freo don't travel
Collingwood by 1 point would be enough
Hawks by a couple of goals - not enough break for both Bombers and Pies...

Bennö (Bennö), Thursday, 27 April 2006 10:15 (nineteen years ago)

not enough break for both Bombers and Pies...

Not a lot was raised about this when Brisbane had 5 day break and had to travel to play St Kilda. So no excuse as far as I'm concerned!

Lucy Lion (Lucy Lion), Friday, 28 April 2006 00:15 (nineteen years ago)

Carlton: Richmond only one win in last five clashes. No Gaspar, Waite and Fev in. Looks like a Blue night for Terry Wallett.

Melbourne: Kangaroos defence is laughable. Robbo to kick a bag and Neiter has done bugger all for months so no loss.

Bulldogs: No Perrie, No Burton. Edwards and Roo not fit. One day the Dogs will play a side that is fit but it won't be this week. Another home loss for an SA side coming up in the toughest game of the round to pick.

Geelong: Blake, Mooney and Ottens vs. Jolly and Chambers. Cats midfield to get first use and a fresh Scarlo to clean up Barry Hall. No Davis to torment Geelong either. Cat 'revenge' factor will counteract the travel factor. We'll be up for this one.

West Coast: In a game not worth watching. They shoot horses don't they? Gorilla Girl is on drugs :)

St Kilda: Ordinary Saints to get over the line against a side that hates Tasmania more than Martin Bryant.

Collingwood: At full strength and on a bit of a roll should be too strong for the bogans missing Brogan. Port hate the Domea55 and tipsters should steer well away from them at this venue.

Hawthorn: Essendon will run them hard but run out of puff..Nine day break vs. Five day break??? Diabolical programming by the AWFUL.

There's your eight folks. Read it and WEEP ;)

regards,

REB

CARLTON (24) - for the last time if wrong. If we can't beat the PFJ there is nothing between us and yet another wooden spoon

MELBOURNE - Roos better last week but still uninspired and slow

ADELAIDE - because the world just aint that perfect

GEELONG - revenge my ass! Sidneylanders still remember but should forget ASAP

WEST COAST - Beau, the bloke with the big nose is called Dean Cox, you haven't played since before he started and he's the Brownlow favorite, bestaluck!!!

ST KILDA - the Hello Sailors will flounder again

COLLINGWOOD - too hungry and playing too consistently

HAWTHORN - their run will end soon but not just yet. Exactly how does the 2004 fiasco have relevance to this match?

Fred Nerk (Fred Nerk), Friday, 28 April 2006 03:27 (nineteen years ago)

CARLTON - Ten years ago exactly, I saw Carlton vs Richmond in an early round game at the MCG. We (Carlton) won. It will happen again.

GOLD COAST - Against my better judgment.

ADELAIDE - They can't lose TWICE at Footy Park, amirite? Plus, they've always had some hold over Footscray. Do they own a voodoo doll of Ted Whitten?

GEELONG - They have to win this if anyone is going to take them seriously.

WEST COAST - Jason Akermanis to complain about Hungry Jack's Onion Rings.

ST. KILDA - Launceston ain't Freo. Net even Subiaco.

COLLINGWOOD - Battle of the Bogans! Sadly, Collingwood will win. If they got the balls, Port should turn up wearing the ol' Prison Bars. 1980s-style Prison Bars.

HAWTHORN - It'll be a close one but Jeffery's Boys might just do the job.

Collingwood v Prot Adelaide --Lucy Lion

Is this a mistake of the same proportions as the now famous 'Cows' poster, or was it intentional and you can't spell 'prat'?

Cheers

Westy

Adelaide prove that true contenders can win even when they have injuries to key personel. This is what seperates the pretenders from the teams with a genuine shot at the title.
