Any other week those would have dominated the media. Some people owe the siren blower a beer!:-)

Laidley's inaction (at the time and since) in the Thompson matter was not a good look.
Re Hudgeton: If I was Max I'd be furious. Thomas and Buttface (not you, Esty) obviously had other things on their mind, like hanging on to two points that had fallen into their lap. He wasn't going to be suspended, so there was no cost to the team, so no point defending the charge and Hudgeton's good record could go to hell.
Carl v Rich: Crap v crapper, bad v ugly, not much chop v no bloody chop at all. Any team that loses to Richmond is talking through its arse any tiime it mentions the word 'improvement'.
Geelong: Do your own stirring. No comment.

Laidley: You can't top up forever Roos, but he's done a pretty good job so far, I still think they can turn it around a bit and this will become yet another non-Issue.
Carlton v Richmond: Shocking. Why put Carlton on a Friday night for two weeks in the first 5 rounds?
Hudgton: He'd be spitting chips.
Geelong: We'll make the eight.
There is perhaps another issue you missed..will Essendon win the spoon? They lost to Brisbane after all and despite naming a new captain this week this mob appears to be over the Hille.
regards,
REB

There is alwaays that possibility, I guess, but I'm quietly confident that the Dons will win 3 out of their next 4 which would make us pretty safe from the spoon.

Three of our four losses come in under three goals. I suppose I could be encouraged by that if I ever disengaged my brain for long enough to take a Denis Pagan press conference statement at face value. (But to do that I'd have to stay awake....)

Only one was our home game. And a bit like Collingwood, every side in the comp wants to host Carlton, especially early on. If we're any good, we'll drag a crowd in. And if (go with me on this, I know it might be hard to put the two concepts together) Carlton were ever a crap side headed nowhere at the speed of light, we'd still pull a crowd and give you a win which would buy you a few members come Monday.

Please confine discussions to important issues. Such as - Chris Judd, West Coast, Ben's hammy and other vitak matters that will affect the season.

Was that the best performance of his career on Saturday night?
If ever there was a case for the Brownlow being 6 votes awarded amongst 1-3 players, that would be a game where he'd get all 6 without question. It was amazing to watch.
The icing on the cake was that Acker was tagging him. :-)

Actually Chrisso Aker was only tagging him for a portion of the game he had several others who were also blown out of the water. Speaking of which young Beau was bloody lucky to only get 2 weeks when Robbie Copeland is likely to be out for up to 3.
- Thompson taking himself off (more would/ve been made of it) - I thought he looked stuffed after taking the lovely mark.
- Dean Laidley - have the Kangaroo players lost all faith in him? - why wouldn't they he's a twit.
- The Carlton/Richmond game - How bad was that! - Couldn't watch I can't stand Matthew Richardson, so was bitterly disappointed when Carlton lost.
- Max Hudghton accepting a spitting fine - disgusting little mite.
- Geelong's form and the likelihood of them missing the finals - I figure they will get there act together this week and down the Turtle's men.
Chad Fletcher and the $20,000 fine for Drink Driving and the TAC - talk about double standards from the TAC!!!!

Lucy......pulease. It was Chad Morrison. No longer an Eagle. And if he was, he would have run away.

I'll restateChad MORRISON and the $20,000 fine for Drink Driving and the TAC

And re running away: wasn't he ditched from the Eagles for being too slow?
