Why all the fuss about giving Fremantle the points

I am not sure why there was so much fuss about the AFL changing the results. They have done it twice before (under the VFL).

In the 1900 round 1 clash St Kilda and Melbourne drew on 68 points a piece. The match was later awarded to the Saints when it was determined that Melbourne had been credited a behind incorrectly.

In 1909, again, it involved St Kilda in their round 6 match against Geelong. St Kilda came from behind in the last quarter to "win" the match by a solitary point but Geelong appealed against result, as the Saints apparently fielded a player from regional Victoria who had been suspended. The VFL kept the original scores, however, awarded the match result and the four points to Geelong.

Maybe its the money now.

Yes, nice to hear from yopu Hawka.

Did anyone see Eddie talking about Collingwood getting the 'Escort Cup' back retrospectively yesterday. The man was serious, too! Even talked about getting interest on the prize money!Lol.

Eddie should be resolutely ignored on this matter. He's show-boating for the fans. It can't do the team a whole lot of good either, unless somebody takes a pot-shot back.

(Someone like you, Pagan!!!! So don't you dare even THINK about it!)

Hello Hawka, pleased to hear your dulcet tones yet again. We've certainly missed the credibility on this forum, at least your stats are real....

As for the ever delightful Eddie less than 12 months to go and he's out-of-here - yahoo!
