Crouch (the serial pest) really, really got to him.

But there were lots of signs of good footy, Jason Roe if he can back up his performance next week will be a very good player. I thought he did extremely well on Bazza Hall. Jamie Charman for Captain when Voss decides he wants to retire, and Jonathan Brown to play two weeks in the twos!

Come to think of it Chrisso - is all this to detract from the fact Essendon are not doing much better

No, not really, I'm more than happy to talk about how shit we are going. Did you see our game against Richmond? Probably the worst I have seen an Essendon team play since '98. This season I'm not too down about it because I honestly expected nothing this year. When you don't expect much and you get it, it's hard to feel to bothered.:-) I just hope Sheedy bloods as many youngsters as he can and we can get some good kids in the draft - I hear the next draft is a good one. That's about all I can hope for really. But don't get me wrong, Lucy, I'm still loving my footy as much as ever; some terrific games on the weekend. Did you see the Derby in WA? Cracker!

I'm enjoying watching Aker go off the deep end - we haven't seen such displays of pugulism from a single player for almost twenty years.

The Bombers have been very unlucky, having now lost five games in a row by three goals or less.

One more and they equal their own record of six set in 1927 Rd 2-7.

Two more and they will equal the Kangaroos record of seven on the trot from round 7 to 13 in the 1955 season.

What about one of the Scott bros on the news last night saying he wants to unleash his fury on the club mole. Where his comments directed at Aker?

Chrisso it was Brad Scott and no I don't think it was directed at Aker, in fact I really don't think they know who it is. Scotty wouldn't talk about it he'd just do it!

While I know Aker can be a touch ahh different! In some respected I think he is much maligned in this instance. He has been playing brilliantly but he has been OK. Still got 18 disposals on Sunday and if he hadn't had Crouch - then one of the others would have, so it evens out.

I personally believe Aker will still be a Brisbane Lion until he retires, he's better off playing for us then against us!

Chrisso I'm also glad you are still enjoying your footy - me too. I have no problem with us losing and expect we will loose quite a few more this year but then, come next year all that youth will have played some serious game time and be ready to take em on again.

My bags are packed for Carrara this weekend and around about Friday I will stop talking nicely to Hawka until such time as the siren blows on Saturday night and we have our second win for the season! :)
