MELBOURNE: Croad still not back, Crawford doubtfull and Melbourne on a bit of a roll. By about four goals I reckon.
ADELAIDE: By plenty. This one will get real ugly.
FREMANTLE: Without any confidence whatsover. Despite injuries and unpredictable form, I'm tipping them. Just don't ask me why.
GEELONG: Another toughie. Cats on paper looking good but plenty of players not match fit. Collingwood praised to the skies for losing by three goals against West Coast at Putriaco but we've been doing that for years. Pies to not come up with one day's less preparation. Get some money on the either team by under 15 option.
Sydney: Usually close games between these two but the Swannies have the know how to shut out the Dogs. Two trips in two weeks and the Port clash will prove to be poor preparation for the reigning premiers.
Brisbane: Port are an absolute rabble and Brisbane may have found something last week.
St Kilda: Not the usual 100 point belting of recent years but Saints still have the cattle and the desparation to overcome the Blues who are not without a chance in this one.
West Coast: Will defeat Essendon for the first time at the Domea55 as the artist formely known as Essendon will have trouble living up to the deeds of past combinations.
regards,
REB

MOTN: If they keep up their current form I may have to stop calling them that. But the PFJ still fits the other crowd to a tee
ROOS: their worst is better
COLLINGWOOD: BUCKLEY SHOULD HAVE PLAYED!!!! Or at least flown over. If he can't walk off the plane, they took 27 players, play somebody else. If he runs out of steam thru jetlag or whatever halfway through the second quarter, there's four on the bench, send one of them on. If he pulls up sore after the game, lock him in the Fraser Brown room and let him sit out this week. At least they'll have some hard data to base the management program on if they find themselves in the same bind on Prelim Final week. Malthouse and co seemed more concerned with looking pro-active and making the Big Call than crossing bridges when they came to them. Like Hannibal Smith and the A Team, fellas, ten out of ten for macho but the big zero for smart. (I'm Fred Hinch.....)
SYDNEY: This counts as a Big Game now and the Sidneylanders have had more of them recently
PORT: Playing at home and absolutely on their last leg
ST KILDA: No Hudgton who Fev last year nominated as his least fave opponent, no Hamill to draw three tags and leave two team-mates unmanned (which only ever works v Carl, I wonder why), no Koderrynhinchski or any other ruckman, but Carlton will still find some way of ballsing this up
WEST COAST: lost to Collingwood in similar circs 12 months ago but it won't happen again. Essendon won't win the spoon, whoever loses Bris v Port will move into favoritism and the PFJ will slot in behind them
