Seeing as I only get two winners most weeks during the footy season I reckon I could be on a winner here.

MELBOURNE V GEELONG

Both teams have been going full tilt in this competition and there are a couple of handy inclusions in Travis Johnstone and Gary Ablett for the Devils and the Catters respectively.

As much as Geelong want to snaffle some silverware, I think the D's might want it even more. When the coach comes out and says drink less coffee because the club is broke and every Demon interview seems to end with 'come out and watch the team' I get the feeling that this side are a group on a mission.

The Cats have played well so far in the Potter but Port were experimenting and the Blues weren't tall enough to exploit what was an underperforming forward line last year. Melbourne's defence isn't exactly blue ribbon either, but the desire that has got both sides thus far appears to be in greater abundance with the Demons. As much as it goes against my cyclopian Catter nature, I favour the Demons to get up by 11 points....but I hope I'm wrong.

St Kilda v Essendon

St Kilda has taken all before them at the moment with several quarters of dominating football in just two matches but Essendon have come out on top in the two most keenly fought contests in the Whiz Hard cup.

St Kilda's forward line will cause defensive match up headaches for plenty of coaches this season but perhaps a tall from the Saints will be called up for defensive duties to curb the influence of Lloyd, Hird or Lucas. I can't see anyone stopping a superfit Lloyd and we saw in Round 22 last year that the Saints can still be very ordinary when they are under the pump.

St Kilda traditionaly have struggled against the Dons and I expect this to continue. Essendon by 22 points.

Cheers,

REB

PS - Port to defeat Collingwood Jase LOL.

REB you should have more faith in your team. Congratulations, you're boys managed to put the hangdog look back on Daniher's face so quickly. Shame I quite like Melbourne as a team but I still think there is a chance of a Cats V Saints Final.

Morning Lucid, yes, one happy Catter at the mo. I couldn't help but feel that the AFL were having some sort of conspiracy to get the latest handout club into the money match next week.

Against the Egirls the Demons got a golden run with the Orange maggots and this continued in last night's game. If anyone needs a good arguement for not putting the nine point rule into real football, have a squiz at the nine pointer awarded to the Range Rovers for Neitz's huge dive against Scarlo. We couldn't touch their blokes all night but Spriggsy was getting clobbered every time he got near the ball. The one point margin flattered the Demons in my book...friggin cheating Orange maggots....you did your dough.

REB

ps - CARP. Loats is a bloody lemon (six weeks out). Why did we recruit him? At least Street (unco as he is) can get through a match!

Funny about that REB. Never saw or heard the match but picked up today's paper and read the match report.

Your sentiments are exactly the first thing that crossed my mind

Haven't read the match report Westy so I'm not quite with you there. Dang...I still can't tip for 5hit. If I go in Hawka's tipping comp I might have to do what I usually do not...use an alias!

regards,

REB
