It seems I'm not the only one to think Sookie Bubba Richardson is detrimental to Richmonds success.

McGrath blasts Richo
05 March 2004 Herald Sun Mark Stevens

MATTHEW Richardson is under siege again - this time from former opponent Tim McGrath.

The former Geelong defender has launched a stinging attack on Richardson, saying Richmond should have off-loaded him because of poor body language.

McGrath, writing in the Geelong Advertiser, said the enigmatic forward had a lot to do with the Tigers' woes.

Without wanting to stick up for poor richo, fancy someone like mcgrath paying anybody out, tim retire in grace becasue you played 150 more games then you should have.

He'd probably still walk into what will pass for a defence with the Poower puffs this year Jase. Nothing wrong with Timbo champ.

McGrath may have been a bit average but he got 100% out of whatever limited ability he had. He wasn't there just to fill the Geelong carrot-top quota.

See Jase, it's not that hard to be objective. As for the final, well, I'm not that confident because I can hardly dare to believe that the Cats can actually win a grand final. The game a couple of weeks later is the bigger prize IMO.

McGrath got the best out of himself for all of this footy career and when he got the confidence and the feel that he actually belonged on the field with the rest of the stars, he played some absolute "blinders".

The question should be, "What sort of player would Richo be with that sort of "heart" ? He may in fact be busting his arse every game he plays, but suffers from the fact that it sure does not look like it!!!

Who remembers a bloke called David Ackerley, former Sydney and Kangaroo player? Great example of the "heart" player.

Can't believe Richardson managed to kick 7 goals on Saturday night. But it was great to see Vossy and Craig McRae play again. Brad Scott and Blake Caracella played really well when they came on in the second half.

With the likes of Jonathan Brown, Darryl White, Chris Scott, Beau McDonald, Nigel Lappin, Shaun Hart, Justin Lepptisch, Chris Johnson to come into the side we have much to happy about.
