Lucy should have seen it coming before it reached Toowoomba, and the ideal response was 'none whatever', but after fighting the temptation for 29 whole minutes she couldn't help herself:

"Yeah yeah REB, let me tell you the tune you're humming is getting very, very boring!"

Why don't we call the Best and Fairest Award the Jackson or Demetriou Medal. What relevance has the Brownlow got to the AFL. It's really an outdated state league award.

My guess is, sometime before 1930 somebody from one of the other clubs had exactly the same bitch about the medal being named after a Geelong identity and not Tom Wills or someone. In the 75 years since we've all seen how much that matters.
