thinking ~90 or so because he seems in good shape for his age, in interview (1998) he says he does not smoke, cursory search reveals no other sustance issues, and he looks like he would aspire to being old and dignified

the reason i am thinking about this is that for about a second this morning while i was still half asleep and assimilating internet content i was under the misapprehension that thurston had passed away

I occasionally go to a pub quiz in the Rose & Crown in Stokey on Tuesdays and tonight I kept noticing a sort of geeky bespectacled indie looking guy at the bar and, because he seemed to notice me in return, I was thinking it was some indie guy from Glasgow I used to know years ago but eventually I realised who it was. One of the guys I was with, who has no fucking clue who Thurston Moore is or who the fuck Sonic Youth are, said, "Oh, that guy, I've seen him in here a few times." Couldn't really see the Other Woman, because she had her back to me for most of the night, but when they got up to leave it was apparent she was half his height and half his age.
