Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Sunday, 27 April 2014 01:23 (eleven years ago)

feel like u should probably download an album by band encoded with alac and sort of contemplate it

that looks like it could contain folders each containing folders, and thence further subfolders, corresponding to different categories of albums by bands

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Sunday, 27 April 2014 01:34 (eleven years ago)

it is open

sarahell, Sunday, 27 April 2014 01:35 (eleven years ago)

Chew up the folder and spread the resultant paste between two intact folders.

verhzleyavbtreleambreb (imago), Monday, 12 May 2014 21:56 (eleven years ago)

Haecceity is a 3-piece death metal band hailing from Rotterdam, Netherlands comprised of:

Johnathan Frederick Ras on guitar and vocals
Philip de Bruijn on drums
Roderick Ras of Houwitser on Bass

Known as Diatryma from the beginning in 2011, the band focused on the development of technique and sound playing several shows across the country, the last one being Baroeg Open Air 2012 under this name.

Is anyone else as excited as I am to download the new album by Thom Yorke, "Tomorrow's Modern Boxes"

sleepingbag, Friday, 26 September 2014 17:48 (ten years ago)

good question

nakhchivan, Friday, 26 September 2014 18:18 (ten years ago)

though i seldom care much for the band radiohead these days, i was actually downloading some soundboard recordings of radiohead earlier today because i wanted to here the stirring renditions of selected prime-era radiohead cuts such as the coruscating 'the national anthem,' the epic 'there there' and the sick beats of idm influenced radiohead classic 'idioteque'

then i saw that thom yorke had released this new lp, so i waited for the flac version to appear on certain non-paywalled torrent sites and then downloaded it

the downloading of the flac was admittedly quite the rush, but listening to thing is not quite so appealing

nakhchivan, Friday, 26 September 2014 18:22 (ten years ago)

I had decided that I was pretty into the idea of never hearing tom york's voice again in any context, then I saw that he has a new album called "tomorrow's modern boxes" and recalled my earlier decision and was pleased

Onan Pullett (wins), Friday, 26 September 2014 18:58 (ten years ago)

i thought about downloading this album

mattresslessness, Friday, 26 September 2014 19:08 (ten years ago)

this album just appeared on my no way fna trending bar between Bill & Ted and Kim Jong-un

Onan Pullett (wins), Friday, 26 September 2014 19:11 (ten years ago)

offering information, downloading the files, processing and moving the files into the player application, playing the files, or possibly moving the files to a mobile device to be played on the go. i decided it was not worth the result of having listened to this album.

mattresslessness, Friday, 26 September 2014 19:12 (ten years ago)

for now.

mattresslessness, Friday, 26 September 2014 19:12 (ten years ago)

because it's friday i'm in love.

mattresslessness, Friday, 26 September 2014 19:13 (ten years ago)

good decision imo, you'll be pleased with that

Onan Pullett (wins), Friday, 26 September 2014 19:13 (ten years ago)

thanks to the trending bar snippet I now understand an earlier status by markers, which I will now go and "like"

Onan Pullett (wins), Friday, 26 September 2014 19:14 (ten years ago)

just played a few tracks, its pretty vapid, thom still paying his dues to that observer music magazine 'new electronica' primer he bookmarked in 2004

nakhchivan, Friday, 26 September 2014 19:16 (ten years ago)

folktronica

mattresslessness, Friday, 26 September 2014 19:47 (ten years ago)

What is especially amazing about this album is the fact that Silje Nes had no previous experience of the instruments she utilised. Rather than creating a sprawling mess, she creates a warmly-produced and contagious slice of dreamy folktronica. This approach is successful due to the lack of learned conventions coupled with the evident excitement of discovering new sounds and these elements contribute to the creative and unformulaic nature of `Ames Room'. `Ames Room' is a cracking release and deserves to be played on a quiet and Snow-laden Christmas Eve, in front of a warm crackling fire. cracking some crackling communicable slice rite now

clouds, Friday, 26 September 2014 19:57 (ten years ago)

these are more keenly painful because i remember feeling obligated to write like that when talking abt albums by bands

clouds, Friday, 26 September 2014 19:58 (ten years ago)

wow, first 4 tracks are something I didn't expect from them somehow - dark, brooding Yorketronica, very Eraser/TMGLMOAT-like (and I'm happy to hear that!)

and I think they screwed Mr Magpie completely. check this version instead

Ravers have become deadbeats, and Burial's beats are accordingly undead - like the tik-tok of an off-kilter metronome in an abandoned Silent Hill school, the klak-klak of graffiti-splashed ghost trains idling in sidings.

theres something dispiriting how Том Йорк, having devoted himself to afx boards of canada mille plateaux etc around the turn of the century, suddenly got enamoured with the most rote electronica dogshit for the ensuing decade
