Who read Clare Boylan's Home Rule (novel)?

so anyhow, people, it turns out - or did everyone know that already? - that that 'summarise a novel in 25 words' thread was on metafilter, and that link got followed a few times, it seems, and so this board is the fourth result on google for 'novel summaries' which may perhaps be a/the root of the problem. i'm not entirely sure how pagerank works; nor is anyone.
