Have you read a book because of an inspired piece, other than a film?

I've begun reading Wuthering Heights because I've long been a fan of Kate Bush, and finally grew to like that song enough to look into the lyrical content on a deeper level.
I like it more now.

Have you read a book because of a song, peom, painting, game, etc?

Think you got the inspired/original order reversed, yo.

I started reading Nikki Giovanni's work because of a Lyrics Born song.

Shakespeare comes to mind, although that's more that the piece was inspired, and then I read it. And also vice versa.

As a youngster I was in love with Leonardo DiCaprio (pre-Titanic, thankyouverymuch) and came to several awesome books through my insane crush. The Basketball Diaries, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, This Boy's Life - much better books than films, I have to say. Although Gilbert Grape was good.
