So I've been reading about Al Qaeda (The Osama Bin Ladin I Know, 1000 Years of Revenge) and BCCI (A Full Service Bank) and have been really enjoying it and want more like that.

You could try Kurt Eichenwald's The Informant which is about price-fixing at Archer Daniels Midland - it's an interesting read (and not my typical cup of tea, but I enjoyed it). He also wrote a book about Enron - I think it was called Conspiracy of Fools.

Yeah, that sounds perfect! Enron is definitely one I want to read about.

'The Informant' is much better than the Enron one tho. More interesting case too.

three weeks pass...
I'm just finishing 'Illicit: How Smugglers, Traffickers and Copycats are Hijacking the Global Economy' by Moises Naim. Very well-written, not dry at all, and got me thinking about illegal international trade in ways I hadn't before. It might be what you're looking for.

one month passes...

Just finished Dollars For Terror by Richard Labeviere which details the financial linkages between Saudi oil interests, Islamic terrorist groups, and the financial linkages between them and interested parties in the West.

Weird reading because it was published in 2000, but it's basically a playbook for the following five years.
