Where can I get a copy of " Ethel the Aarvark goes Quantity Surveying" ?

Talking of which - turn up the Web Site for North Wales Police ( UK) and go to the Profile of the Chief Constable, David Brunstom.

You may think " Monty Python's Flying Circus " is just comedy - but his profile shows it is based on real life !!!!!!

If you do not believe this ......

He recently appeared on a BBC ( Wales )TV Programme " Dragon's Eye" You maybe able to turn up a recording of this !!!!

If it was not serious , you would think he was Peter Sellars doing
Inspector Cleuso, " The Keystone Cops " , Harold Lloyd and Laurel & Hardy Films all rolled into into one short half hour !

There is actually a book in print which gives a description of a UK government department which spent 6 years discussing whther or not to make doing silly walks and pulling funny faces in public criminal offences.

Reminds me that the first time I went to England, I turned on the TV in the hotel room and thought it was all Monty Python, all the time. The BBC news looked exactly like the Pythons' shows.

Particularly funny:

Pa un fu eich eiliad ddoniolaf fel plismon?

Fel her, cytunais i gyfarwyddo traffig yng nghanol Brighton mewn lifrai llawn a masg gorila. Roedd y car cyntaf a stopiais yn cynnwys y Prif Gwnstabl! Dro arall, tra’n edmygu fy adlewyrchiad mewn ffenest siop un noson, bu i mi ddarganfod fod criw o ieuenctid yn eu dyblau’n chwerthin, gan eu bod wedi bod yn edrych arna’i am rai munudau. Yn anffodus gwrthododd y ddaear ag agor i’m llyncu.

Monty Python will never get old. Everyone knows the lines eg: "Run Away!" One of my personal favourites is the book shop sketch but i am also in favour of the matress sketch. I think that everyone should be requires to watch some Monty Python. It would do everyone some good.

Monty Python has brought my family together. We watch tapes of it on Christmas Day and start poking fun at each other and avoid those horrible holiday feuds.
