Has anyone else read this? Sometimes book reading is lonely - like watching a fabulous film but not knowing anyone else who has seen it who you can share it with. I love this book, it was honest and beautiful.

I've only read his political books ('The Yellow Wind' about the Occupied Territories, and the one about Arabs living in Israel whose name escapes me). I've always meant to give one of his novels a go, so I'll look out for this one.

I'm keen to read his political books, I like his style of writing. Do you recommend them?

'The Yellow Wind' is excellent. As it was written in the late 80's, a lot of it has been overtaken by events, but it's still a brilliant insight into life in the Occupied Territories. The other one (whose name I still can't remember) is good too, but start with 'The Yellow Wind'.
