where in london can i sell my books?

Broke. Looking to unload some titles, mostly paperbacks. Any ideas?

There was a thread about this on ILE about a year ago, I think it was Martin Skidmore who asked and the answer was some place in Richmond, I think. I don't know the outcome, but I'm sure Martin will be along shortly...

Notting Hill Book & comic Exchange is pretty good.....they won't give you much though. Better to go for exchange.

I never got around to selling them, and still have a couple hundred in boxes. Richmond is the other end of town for me.

Most secondhand bookshops will give you a third of what they think they will sell them for. Contemporary paperback fiction goes for about £1.50 - £2.00 secondhand.

The guy who runs the stall on Rupert Street (extension of Berwick Street) will buy for reasonable prices.
