What's next?

I finished! The Half Brother is now history. Hooray! But what should I read next? I'm thinking of an easy read: Conan Doyle's The Lost World, or some more of Poe's or Kipling's short stories. Then again, I'm also thinking of trying the waters of noir.

What say ye?

Try some noir! Chandler and Hammett are both great, or if you want something nastier but equally wonderful, Jim Thompson - The Getaway is what it sounds like, but it also make Dostoyevsky look like an optimist about human nature.

The Postman Always Rings Twice, if you haven't already read it.

Hammets Red Harvest is excellant but not as polished as Chandler.
