Françoise Sagan, Bonjour à la mort.

I loved reading about her exploits and misadventures but Françoise Sagan never struck me as a particularly good writer. Her column in Le Monde used to be fun in a catty, girl-about-town way but not otherwise very insightful. Anybody like her stuff?

Bless her. I liked Bonjour Tristesse. I worked for Elf Oil at the time the bosses were under investigation for financial mismanagement. I forget how, but Sagan was involved.

I loved Bonjour Tristesse but I never read anything else by her (or BT ever again) so it's probably got that false aura of greatness around it that only 17 year old girls can bestow on things. But anyway, RIP :(
