Every volume in the Loeb Classical Library. Then I would bring them to a beach house and read them all. Out loud, with a mouth full of pebbles.

i pre-ordered it in january. this one is the limited edition trade hardcover, but a special collector's edition (limitation of 500) is coming out in november, so i'll be getting that one too! it's going to be around $600, but it's signed, in a special clamshell box, and comes with a limited edition giclee. it's also my birthday/xmas present from last year.

A really expensive book I lusted after for years, and which my extraordinarily kind wife finally bought me as a gift:http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41KJ8FTB20L._SS400_.jpghttp://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51SQSW9DZRL._SS400_.jpghttp://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51VRYX9H6YL._SS400_.jpg

what kind of paper is it printed on?
the joel peter witkin book above is printed on something ridiculously lavish like arches 160lb or something even heavier, it's like fabric.

Just on normal (heavy, quality) paper, alas, rather than anything especially fancy.
