Everybody I am so damn excited, I just got accepted into SIU-Carbondale where I will finally finish my degree -- in French and CLASSICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AUUUUUUGH! I will read Homer and Juvenal in their original tongues auuuuuugh welcome to my orgy of nerd joy!

Anybody else here ever study classics? If you got it in high school I die of envy, but I still love you.

ah, belushi's alma matter, and from what i hear they act like it. SIU-C's not far from me but i've never been there.

i was supposed to study classics when i was at college but didn't. then i flunked out. i kept all the books though so maybe someday.

two weeks pass...

I took Latin in high school for four years. But tomorrow I have my Latin Prose final which is hell (since I haven't taken Latin since secondary school which was a very long time ago).

However, I find that those who study classics are quite cool (especially in America where it's really rare to take Latin or Greek).
