Joseph Roth: C/D?

Austro-Hungarian jewish writer - going from one exile to another inbetween wars in Europe. I'm not sure anyone read this guy anymore, but worth a try.

I'd really like to read Radetzky March, but I haven't read anything by him.

I've read most of his books. Seek them ALL! Destroy NONE! He's fantastic, esp. if you get the Michael Hofmann translations. I'm a sucker for those great Austr0-Hungarian Empire writers (Schnitzler, Roth, Zweig, Maras, Kafka, etc). Also Roth's one-time girlfriend, Irmgard Keun, is well worth reading too.
