surprised there is no thread on this wonderful short story magazine. i recently read the latin-american issue, and have subscribed. anyone else read it?

i feel bad that i never buy it simply because it has the worst name in magazine history. well, it's a tie, actually, with Brill's Content.

Because they have the film option on your story or play for a year upon submission?

I was joking there as of the strange policy; as far as I know, zero.
All-Story has a very impressive and compelling lineup of contributors, but I'm not much the literary fiend.

shades of tina brown and her failed magazine.
i would pick up this magazine if i saw it. i'm all for more short fiction in print. i have a short story collection by some dude who made his name with a story in zoetrope. can't remember his name. the story was entitled something like A Note To My Future Biographer. i keep meaning to read the damn thing.

yeah its probably a good way to find out about new writers. its weird reading short story compilations, provided you read them like i do (without taking significant breaks in between). afterwards you just have this big clusterfuck of odd thoughts and feelings that have blended into an amorphous blob of art. it's cool, but probably more appropriate for something like the dubliners.
