Friends, maybe my this post can turn your live upside down.

"Da hell, why we live?", sometimes bugs you off. Doesn't it?

Umhmm, if you're looking for some adventurous book or something that would take you on cloud 9 or something that would quench the thirst for unanswerable answers, then maybe I have something for you.

God Without Religion: Questioning Centuries of Accepted Truths is finer than any cooked up stories I've ever read, it's cool!

Check it,and trust me.

Hi fellow book lovers:
When searching Amazon.com recently for new books related to spirituality and human consciousness, I came across a listing for GOD WITHOUT RELIGION: Questioning Centuries of Accepted Truths by Sankara Saranam.

Since the book’s title piqued my interest, I got a copy through the book’s web site by the same name. It’s helped me solidify my own views on the negative aspects of organized religion and the importance of developing one’s own relationship with God / The Divine etc. I've also found the techniques in the book quite helpful in enhancing my spiritual awareness.

Arun Gandhi, grandson of the revered Mahatma Ghandi wrote the Foreword to the book.

Looking for a helpful book to get a handle on spirituality in my life, I've found GOD WITHOUT RELIGION to be a great read.

I'm wondering if anyone else here is familiar with Saranam's book and if so, what they think of it.

Also, has anyone read any other books dealing with spirituality rather than religion that they would consider a must read?

Friends, maybe you need to read this other great book I found. Its called
Posting without Sockpuppets: Why blatant advertising pisses people off, and how obvious it really is.

Its, like, really cool.

We your friends? Da hell!

Aimless (Aimless), Thursday, 26 May 2005 15:04 (twenty years ago)

Aw, Ray! I wanted to hear more about this fabulous book which is understandable to all the people, even of the people not with the English.

And you stepping in and taking it away?

That really bugs me off!

I don't know, friends, Saranam is too close to Saruman for me to put any faith in his "spiritual direction." I think it's another one of Sauron's conspiracies.

Ray, I'm not advertising, I get nothing out of the post.

A good book is a good book, and has nothing to do with me or Chris Jenkins.

I have nothing more to say.

Wow, maybe I should read it, and then my language skills could improve dramatically too!

Ray (Ray), Thursday, 26 May 2005 21:24 (twenty years ago)

For shame, Ray. For shame.

You're supposed to say "But Ray, that's impossible!"
Now you've bugged me off.

Fine Ray, Miss it!
And best of luck!!

something that would quench the thirst for unanswerable answers

I can't decide whether "unanswerable answers" is awful or brilliant.

Maybe, she means answers to questions which we can't answer ourselves.

The title surely is long, confusing and when I don't think of this thread, slightly interesting.

Lol, how thick is this book?

George, Friday, 27 May 2005 15:04 (twenty years ago)

Long title/subtitles are all the rage in publishing these days. It's almost as if we've circled back to the days of books with titles like: The Heroick Adventures of Captain Heironymous Murdock - Being a Circumstantial Account of His Many Years Upon the High Seas Trafficking in African Negroes to the New World, Diligently Compared and Corrected by Divers Hands, etc.

Aimless, I'm dying to read the book you seem to have written.

Out of all the long titled books I've read, the best one was
"The Curious Incident Of the Dog in the NIght time"

That sensation of dying is just the asphyxiation of your brain cells. Remember to breathe!

You're right! Thanks for the reminder!

I love long titles:

Quick! What Is The Title Of Your New Ludicrously All-Encompassing Zeitgeist-Seizing Non-Fiction Book About The End Of Everything
