My g/f has been just read 1984 and A Clockwork Orange, what do you suggest she should read now whilst in that dystopian vibe, I was thinking about buying her a Vonnegut or two, any suggestions?

Margaret Atwood's "Handmaid's Tale" is one of her earlier works and well worth it. Also, Philip K. Dick's "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep", Kurt Vonnegut's "Player Piano", and Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World". Go check out this page at Wikipedia for a long list:
