I've been out of touch a little – haven't read any myself – but it feels like a quiet year. What's the obvious name favourite here - Hollinghurst?

Half-way through the Hollinghurst, haven't yet read any of the others. I'd have thought based on reputation plus glowing reviews he will be favourite. The only one on the list who's a must-read for me.
Having said that, I'm not sure whether I'm on the whole pleased or slightly disappointed by it so far.
