I was just reading the thread, "libraries - C/D; S/D," and noted that a number of people work in libraries. Can we get a better count? Who works in a library? Raise your hands. I'll go first. I've worked in college and public libraries for almost 30 years.

Well, I work at Barnes & Noble which is more like a really glorified library.. well, not really, but a lot of books.

I got a job a few weeks ago as a bank staff library assistant, bank staff means if they're short staffed they'll phone me randomly to work in libraries if I'm free.
I've not done any shifts yet, but it's something I've always wanted to do.

i work in the library when i get tired of being in my office but my library isn't that nice so i don't usually stay very long.

but the science and engineering library across campus has a properly hallowed atmosphere to it.
