not for a minute did i suspect you'd all be quite so jingoistic.

flour upon floor, Saturday, 7 January 2006 21:24 (nineteen years ago)

Find me another message board that doesn't have avatars and sigs, and I'll consider it.

Casuistry (Chris P), Saturday, 7 January 2006 21:29 (nineteen years ago)

How to attract more people here?

remy (x Jeremy), Saturday, 7 January 2006 21:38 (nineteen years ago)

start having avatars and sigs, obviously.

Josh (Josh), Saturday, 7 January 2006 21:45 (nineteen years ago)

My avatar would be a camera-phone photo of the tribal-rendered Moon and Sixpence tattoo I've got on my left ass-cheek.

remy (x Jeremy), Saturday, 7 January 2006 21:59 (nineteen years ago)

Or my right ass-cheek.

Remy, have you done a Gary Scheider and started wearing diapers instead of pants?

Redd Harvest (Ken L), Sunday, 8 January 2006 12:42 (nineteen years ago)

It's not that we're jingoistic, it's that we're proud. And with your talk of other forums, you hurt us. Obviously we can do nothing else but lash out.

Anyway, I've never met a book discussion forum I like as much as this one. There are other fun book blogs (mainly Jessa's) and other interesting book sites, but this is the place I like to chat about books.

accentmonkey (accentmonkey), Sunday, 8 January 2006 15:34 (nineteen years ago)

I've learned as much here (and without having to write long papers with footnotes) as I did at school, (and had more fun doing it!). Hearts to you all. ...Plus I could stay home in my 'jammies and drink a beverage of my choice whilst I did it!
