― sleeve, Wednesday, 1 February 2012 00:23 (fourteen years ago)
it logged you out, maybe?
― stet, Wednesday, 1 February 2012 00:24 (fourteen years ago)
its kinda jarring, tbqh a radical approach, i salute yr courage
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 1 February 2012 00:37 (fourteen years ago)
sleeve are you logged into ilxor.com or www.ilxor.com?
― dayo, Wednesday, 1 February 2012 00:41 (fourteen years ago)
"Flag Post"? Wait I only just noticed this.
FPing someone for that.
― ERIC CANONTA FOR PRESIDETN! (onimo), Wednesday, 1 February 2012 08:50 (fourteen years ago)
I hate this change :'( Can we maybe have the choice to use it or not?
― Mordy, Wednesday, 1 February 2012 18:27 (fourteen years ago)
yeah not feeling it.
another thing: if i bookmark something and then select that same bookmark once it jumps to the top of the page (like say i walked away from my computer for a while), it will take me to the OLD bookmark from that page
mostly i just dont like jumping back to the top of the page in general
― ⚓ (gr8080), Wednesday, 1 February 2012 21:49 (fourteen years ago)
really enjoying this now tbh
― flagsteban postez (electricsound), Wednesday, 1 February 2012 21:57 (fourteen years ago)
we should all should give it a few days imho
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 1 February 2012 23:21 (fourteen years ago)
it is p unusual and appy tho, just my pro opinion
it's not so bad that i'd quit ilx over it (i'd probably chew the tips off my fingers before i quit ilx) but i do find it deeply unpleasant and would prefer the option to turn it off
― Mordy, Wednesday, 1 February 2012 23:48 (fourteen years ago)
i really like the way bookmarking works now tbh
― markers, Wednesday, 1 February 2012 23:55 (fourteen years ago)
ditto
― i love pinfold cricket (gbx), Wednesday, 1 February 2012 23:57 (fourteen years ago)
The new bookmarking thing works for me. Didn't even know I wanted it.
― pplains, Thursday, 2 February 2012 01:30 (fourteen years ago)

― tebow gotti (k3vin k.), Thursday, 2 February 2012 01:48 (fourteen years ago)
Im kinda amazed how many ppl use bookmarks this religiously. Ive nevre even given them a thought.
― thanks to denial, I'm immortal! (Trayce), Thursday, 2 February 2012 02:09 (fourteen years ago)
i get so bogged down with my unread bookmarks i rarely look at SNA :(
― ⚓ (gr8080), Thursday, 2 February 2012 02:10 (fourteen years ago)
I tend to rely on my browser's turning a viste3d link pink/the "new posts" unfilled dot. So when the site gets rebooted and they all clear, Im completely lost haha.
― thanks to denial, I'm immortal! (Trayce), Thursday, 2 February 2012 02:12 (fourteen years ago)
One of a few reasons why I changed my name!
There was a while where pplains wasn't on 77 yet, and I'd log in as Pleasant Plains to check in. Fuck, those bookmarks stacked up fast.
― pplains, Thursday, 2 February 2012 02:19 (fourteen years ago)
Check out the blue cursor on the side to give you an idea of how far up it goes.

― pplains, Thursday, 2 February 2012 02:23 (fourteen years ago)

It's kinda like Portal or something. Or those parts in Pitfall II when you'd die and your character would literally be taken all the way back to the beginning.
― pplains, Thursday, 2 February 2012 17:05 (fourteen years ago)
I'm sorry markers, but I've had a couple days to try it out and I tried looking at it in various ways and trying to adjust, but really I just hate it.
― garbage corn fan (Je55e), Thursday, 2 February 2012 19:20 (fourteen years ago)

― Serfin' USA (sleeve), Saturday, 4 July 2026 01:36 (two months ago)
it looks normal to me fwiw
wtf is that?? Can you hit “learn more”? And what browser is that?
― stet, Saturday, 4 July 2026 16:33 (two months ago)
It's Firefox, and "learn more" takes me to this page: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/control-personal-device-local-network-permissions-firefox
The browser console says "Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at data:text/plain;base64,Cg==. (Reason: CORS request not http)."
I've never seen it before.
― mick signals, Saturday, 4 July 2026 16:55 (two months ago)
Can you try disabling your extensions and see if it still happens, please?
― Keith, Saturday, 4 July 2026 18:28 (two months ago)
Yes, it still happens.
― mick signals, Saturday, 4 July 2026 18:34 (two months ago)
Thank you. I can't see anything odd in Firefox, and there's nothing odd inside the page itself... An http link to something from Amazon... Maybe that would cause an issue through HTTPS, but it's not a cross origin request, just a link. Hate to ask you to do loads of things, but can you try it in another browser? This dialog is new in Firefox, but having run it in Firefox 152.0.4, which seems to be the latest, I don't see anything. Bit strange. I thought it'd probably be an extension running some localhost request or something, but it seems not.
I wouldn't worry about it, there's nothing like scripts executing on the page.
― Keith, Saturday, 4 July 2026 18:40 (two months ago)
Nothing in any other browser. I won't worry!
― mick signals, Saturday, 4 July 2026 18:59 (two months ago)
Love the mute thread feature on zing but it doesn't carry over online that I can see. (Unless it does...please let me know.)
Wondering if the li tag element for each thread on the homepage can have an id added (e.g this is boardid=56&threadid=8594, so something like
id="56_8594"
― j.o.h.n. in evanston (john. a resident of chicago.), Friday, 17 July 2026 22:21 (one month ago)
lots of instances of posting messages that dont show until i exit and reload the thread..never seen it before, started within last fortnight i think
― Wichita Referee's Assistant (darraghmac), Friday, 17 July 2026 23:22 (one month ago)
xp fwiw, adblock can work without the id, but it'd be easier with it.
you can add a rule like so, just swap out the theadid:ilxor.com##li:has(a[href*="threadid=123456789"])
― j.o.h.n. in evanston (john. a resident of chicago.), Saturday, 18 July 2026 16:18 (one month ago)
i don’t know if it was related to my iphone code update or ? i didnt update my zing! that i know but it’s it’s weird and polished looking ty

It should be a lot easier soon to block threads and users and for that to carry between the web application and Zing... No need for Adblock etc.
