It takes two hands to do it on the laptop, shift+pgup/home. Why press keys to do that when clicking bookmark can do it for you?

But for those who bookmark as we read, it wasn't easy to get back to where we left off. Once we were back to the top, we had to refresh and click back on the thread, or just do away completely with our preferred bookmarking method.

I hate two button Home/ End navigation. My last laptop was a Vaio , which is two-button everything - volume, brightness, Home/End, wifi. I only had it bc I got it for free. One of my criteria for laptop purchases is minimal two-button operation and not-stupid keyboard layout (e.g., on my boss' IBM Thinkpad, the Ctrl keys are right next to the space bar - grrr).

I liked the new bookmark feature, but I've also reverted back to just hitting Site New Answers when I'm done with a page. It's an added page hit, but it takes me to the top anyway.

That's exactly what I do, which is why the new bookmarks feature was so good. I feel bad about hammering the ILX servers twice as often as I need to.

Two of my last three laptops have had a Home key. Though on the Vaio "Home" was a Function key thing.

I am starting to recover from the great bookmark horror, but I am still hesitating and thinking whether I am really want to hit Bookmark and be quantum leaped from what I'm reading. But it's nice to feel safe again and have room to heal.
