I'm all in favour of letting the Divine Ms M go off on her nonsensical rants but in the SF cover story thread, there are accusations being made about the journalist Chris Dahlen which are at the very least offensive and at worst libellous. Can it get sorted please?

I don't know if it's possible to exempt one board from a sitewide ban, you'd have to ask alan. I'd unban her, but I don't particularly want her to start clogging ilm up with her blog-style posts again.

no it's not possible to exempt from the sitewide ban, as that works at the apache web-serving level. the only board bans you can implement are from named users, which of course is useless without locking out unreg'd users.

i think she accesses ilx through google, so if the a/d threads came up first that might get her to go there.

it would be much easier if i could get her to register, but that's pretty much impossible.
