If those are truly common expressions in your social circles then I'm sorry that I posted what I posted, but I may post about gyros at some point in the future, so trigger fucking warning. My whole intent was to make fun of the rapist guy. I don't even listen to or know a whole lot about the Swans. I just saw a lot of activity on that thread and when I saw so many people defending him, I wanted to chime in and make fun of the dude. Yeah, it was "dad jokes", but this is my gift, my curse. You took it badly as did several other people. Since it was you and sleeve getting offended at first though, I didn't take it very seriously, because I've totally seen you guys get up in arms about some non-existent bullshit before and have a hard time taking you seriously.

I had no idea why anyone was getting mad at what seemed like an obvious bad Gira/gyro joke at Gira's expense until someone spelled it out in this thread. Now my primary note to myself is "stop talking to garbage people before everyone starts looking like garbage people", which would probably have been better advice for my 20s.

Just making the img jokes was diminishing the acts, mocking the discussion, and belittling the people taking it seriously. I didn't even remember the kebab-related phrases in question until this thread when you kept doubling & tripling down on insisting how hilarious and not inappropriate you were, and then emphasising what might be stuffed in a kebab.

(Including meats that, in my Commonwealth-based experience, are never available in doner form. Which was extra odd.)

(I don't know about the UK for sure, but I've never seen the term "gyros" there, and it's definitely not in use in Australia. So expecting everyone to even get that you were making a pun, not just derailing the conversation for the sake of disruption, was itself p presumptuous.)
