Locking the Pitchfork Geeks question

Land of the free indeed...

Does ILX have some relation to Pitchfork? The question could be worded differently (i.e. taking out "masturbation") but the question is asked because of a LOVE of music.

Pathetic. What is the point then...

go steve!

ILM has no relation to pitchfork. Some people who post on ILM write for pitchfork, but that's it. Some people who post on ILM write for other music media as well.

use the search function:

http://ilx.p3r.net/search.php?board=2

and find an older thread. We already have a _lot_ of p'fork related threads.

Weirdly enough, the thread is not showing as locked to me. I just posted a test, and it showed up?

TS: Britain vs. America

this should be locked.

agreed.

At the bottom it says "This thread has been locked by an administrator"

I will look at the search results. And not that this one idea will change Pitchfork. It's just that you get tired. I specifically remember when Travis Morrison (of The Dismemberment Plan) got a 0% for his solo record. I thought it was not fair, the agenda for the writing was something else

I have myself been guilty of self indulgent writing. I even wrote to Pitchfork once, declaring that they sucked - hoping that they would hire me!

I just think that this is a matter to think about. And should not be censored. I will change the language if necessary, but the point stands

Dude, the thread would have fared better if you had a more precise criticism of a certain style of writing (with textual examples), rather that ranting about one particular publication and using vague terminology.

U WD HAVE FARED BETTER BY NOT SUCKING

The Man Without Shadow (Enrique), Tuesday, 21 February 2006 15:02 (twenty years ago)

but, to be clear, neither of those things are why your thread was locked

it was locked (not 'censored' please note) because you could have posted the exact same thing on e.g. this thread:
Pitchfork: Classic or Dud?
