recently got a new work computer & when ive tried to access ilx i now usually get a timed out error? has happened using both IE and Chrome. never any previous issues ilx-ing from work & i think even initially w this new computer it was ok but then this problem started. no problems accessing other sites
occasionally if i refresh / specifically allow flash (though it's already allowed) it does load but it will still take a long time or show the timed out error each time i click through a thread etc so it is basically useless
what gives eh

You might try pinging the site and navigating to the IP address rather than the url? My workplace is stupid and blocks random sites (how they even know about ILX is beyond me) but they're extra stupid because they apparently don't know enough to block that workaround.

is it british summer time messing with my timestamps (two days late?) or is something else going on

is it british summer time messing with my timestamps (two days late?) or is something else going onI'm super-into the weird counting-backwards and out-of-order timestamps at the moment, a hearty reminder of how pointless and irrelevant everything we do here is and also that nukes might be flying towards us at any moment when reading

Timestamp issue is due to a small goof when stet reconfigured the server. I have not personally even noticed it. Is the problem ongoing?
Wish I had more information that could help johnny crunch.

its funny, i feel *less* productive w/o the distraction of ilx, like casually reading it all day keeps me engaged/energized
― johnny crunch, Thursday, 29 March 2018 15:54 (seven years ago)

Feel you, dude. Between when they blocked the site at my work and when I figured out how to get around it, I hit a total 'fuck this place' low ebb in my productivity. Turns out directing all of my focus on my job reveals exactly how unsatisfying it is.
