flagging app problems

hey, I've been using Flagging for a while now. I just switched phones a couple weeks ago and it seems like I have to force stop the app all the time. Using Android 9.

Me, too, though I've gotten used to it. Sometimes it seems to hang on loading, so I just quit the app and reopen it and it seems to work again.

Yeah, it's not a major problem yet. Just wanted to put the information out there.

Hmmm. This would be my fault. I will look into it.

I should be honest though - I'm completely overloaded with work, so any problems that don't 100% block people from engaging in the narcissism of small differences probably won't get fixed soon. Will be looking for someone who can be a better parent to my child.

do folks still need to restart the app a lot?

Have to kill it and restart often, only app i have trouble with. Not able to nail down why. Have current version, phone recently updated to Android 10, but neither helped with this. Moto G Play 7.

Not that bothered anyhow. Hasn't failed to post on first tap in ages. Thanks for the app, lukas!

anyone else having trouble with the search feature? it was really cool when first rolled out, but now returns no results.

working ok for me right now...

I find sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't - getting nothing right now for anything i type in.

After a password reset I'm currently unable to login on flagging. I removed and re-installed the app and am leaving the 'Server' and 'Instance' as what I take to be the correct pre-filled defaults (ilxor.com and ILX respectively), but I get the message 'Username and Password didn't work' each time. Before I try re-setting my password again, just curious if I'm missing something stupid? Thanks.

To update - I reset my password again and was able to login on flagging.

One thing that I wondered is if there is any limitation to password length or non-alphanumeric complexity that flagging can handle?

I think I might be missing something or I did something but I can't see ilm on the boards list, in the last few days, the 'new answers' doesn't seem to show I'll threads either, I can still see bookmarked I'll threads, any ideas, have I muted or deleted something?

Search should return the same results as searching thread titles on the site (or a subset thereof.) If you find a situation where the site returns results and the app doesn't, let me know.

Swans, go to the Boards tab and tap the button in the lower right. You should be able to find I Love Music and toggle it back on.

krakow, flagging shouldn't have an issue with password length or complexity.

is there a way to read bookmarks using the app?

If your account already has bookmarks, you should see a BOOKMARKS tab at the top of the app.

When reading a thread, tapping the + icon in the lower right will pop up a bookmark button.

Let me know if things don't go as expected.

I accidentally flagged someone while carrying my phone. Can a mod cancel my flag? Unfortunately Zing doesn’t give an option to un-flag.
