naive moderator/ILE questions

do requests for moderator changes need to made here or can we send emails to moderators?

also, i don't know what are the current ile 'rules', if any, regarding deleting threads of which you were the original author--is this something it's worthwhile to request?

Send all questions here to this forum. You can always request deletions of threads you've just started that have no responses (or very very few anyhow), but threads that have been going for some time that you regret in hindsight will generally be left alone. Even NEW threads may be left alone unless you have a pretty good reason for the deletion.

I'd be inclined to add that if the reason for any request is of a private nature, something you don't want to put on record here, I see no reason not to email mods (I'm fine with that, personally), but that should be the exception.
