ok sorry

1) I get annoyed when regular posters use this board just to bitch without actually making a concrete request blah blah I'm so put upon

2) When the mods are dealing with acutal racist trolls and a faux-troll gets zapped, I think it's understandable and no great loss
a) jim's been doing a really good mod job otherwise
b) I didn't think it was funny either

3) but all that said, I hope anyone who really thinks that a certain mod is acting way off-base raises the issue; that's just how the mod system should work.

My official request is to unlock the thread that I linked to in my initial post.

My interpretation of the thread was that it was a satirization of the sudden proliferation of threads about race that are asked in supposed innocence, but seem to also have some sort of weird agenda behind them.

Jim didn't think it was funny, so he locked it. If all the moderators locked threads that they didn't think were funny, I'm pretty sure that ILE would come to a dead standstill. That's not quite how things work around here, I assumed.

I am sorry for not making that request in the first place. This is a moderation request forum, not a bitch-about-mods forum. I am very sincere in asking that ath's thread be unlocked.
