You're going to have to be a bit more specific than that. I'm damned if I'm trawling through the 1,000s of words on yer typical marissa thread to try and find out what's supposedly offensive (apart from the usual bedlamesque spectacle) What in particular is offensive? Who are the "several people" you are referring to? What do you want done about it?

I think if you lock the thread, she may sort of lose interest for awhile. I'm actually in favor of locking it and starting over at some unspecified time in the far future. The current back and forth is setting some new standards for unwellness; she's not even really responding anymore. I've always treated Marissa like she was basically well, just a tetch loony (which is my general take on anyone who spends a great deal of time on a message board, myself included) but this latest spate of self-documentation is finally disturbing even to me.

She's not populating any other threads, and the only way she'll lose interest is in her own time. Locking/banning would only fan a flame.

I've banned Marissa a couple of times before, when she started splurging out new threads, blog style on ILM. I held off this time, because she seems to be keeping it all in one thread, though a quick scan suggests it's not particularly...well, you know.

I disagree with Jess's vigorous quality control policy but at least I understand it. People complaining/worrying about M*r*ss*'s mental health ought to weigh up all the other shite that gets through.

I think deleting new marissa threads is valid as she's in a particularly bad state right now, but please don't delete any more of the old ones, should they get woken up. lock them if you have to, but there's stuff worth keeping in there.

I have less of a problem with her posting on ILE, esp. if she's sticking to one thread. Part of the irritation on the ILM thread was the fact that none of it was about music, just about her being nutsy coo-coo. Still, total ban might be the best thing.
