Hello mods-
I would like to ask a friend to join this community - specifically, to show her the "Commission a Poem" thread...she might also like ILB.
What's the best way to do this? Should I send her to ILX.com? Should she register under a fake name/address? This probably sounds stupid, but...
my spam has decreased significantly since I switched from earthlink, which is my registered name /address, and it seems like most people use hotmail or something instead of their "real" email addresses.
She's an MFA in poetry, and I think she would enjoy the thread.

Send her a gmail invite, and ask her to use that? If she uses it specifically and exclusively for ilx, it would be interesting to see how much spam it gets.

Try sending her direct board links, perhaps?

I've been using the same email address here for four years and barely get any spam at all, it's weird.

Ditto. I created a gmail just for ilx and it gets zero mail at all, apart from the occasional random person webmailing me a question or something. No spam.
