Weird Spam

Hey all...

Not sure if you know about or have any reccomendations as to how to handle this problem, but I've been getting inundated with strange spam of late. One such example is pasted blow... I get about twenty-five variations of it a day. It's somewhat disconcerting. Any clues? Thanks!

have you unticked the box in settings by "Allow registered users to send webmail to this address"?

It's always been unticked.

:( then it's a matter for the site admins. any ideas?

I've been getting similar spam lately too, and the box has always been unticked for me too.

For now, it might be worth noting the ilx usernames attached to these spams, so their accounts can be deleted?

Can't we turn off the webmail functionality?

that was my first thought, although I think it would also kill the 'subscribe to a thread' function.

I can provide headers that seem to indicate a spider is abusing the webmail to spam if you want.
