Anyway, am I wrong to be a little annoyed that someone is dropping by ilx to tell people that I post somewhere else? If I went around digging up KateTS shit from other boards to try to start a fight with her, it'd be redacted in a heartbeat.

That's a Q for Keith, that one. I swither between thinking its a good idea -- stops people being a chump on one particular board and thinking they'll be unaffected on all the others -- and thinking its bad, because some board like Aeon Flux are worlds of their own.

Yes, it would. Actually, the only reason I didn't fix this was because I thought you started it. I read yr "bell labs, lurking [a board], fuck off stalker CUT IT OUT", but didn't see hers above. Fixing...

Actually I think there are some important questions re: board 'ownership' and so forth that need to be discussed (ILM and ILE excepted, they belong to no one), maybe this isn't the best place to discuss it.

I'm broadly in favour of having autonomous sub-boards whose mods can do what they want. It's not really a case of 'if someone's a troll why let them in at all?' because all you need is one bit of capricious or accidental or undeserved banning on one of the far-flung boards and that person is then locked out of the whole site. Which is a bit harsh if they spend 99% of their time on peaceable boards like I Love Books or something.
