Rolling site-wide Admin Log in THIS thread

To placate those concerned about the lack of admin log, perhaps all moderators could log their actions on this thread as and when they commit them (inc. time and reason for action). If mods remember to follow up any action with logging it here that might do for now. It's up to them of course. I can imagine some mods might not want to.

If a moderator were to lock this thread because they don't think it's worth bothering with that's fine too, I don't really mind! Just trying to look out for those people in their hours of need. Peace.

This seems a bit cumbersome - would it not be better to just post an ackowledgement of what we've done on the relevant request thread, before it gets locked? There's not a huge amount of ILE/ILM moderation that isn't covered in some way on this board as it is.

Also I am too cynical and suspect this will just end up with people going "I banned L0ius J4gger" or whatever.

probably. but complainers do not seem satisfied with this approach, so this is something closer to the admin log model, cumbersome as it certainly is for mods.

and mods should do cumbersome things to keep complainers happy why? Like I said on the other thread, if it turns out we really do need it in nuILX, we'll try and get it done. If we don't, there's no need for mods to go to cumbersome lengths. Leaving a note in the request thread or the thread where action was taken should be enough.
