just put the boards you want in your bookmarks toolbar in your web browser.

i have been doing this since birth of ilx 2 and can safely say it is not any more or less convenient to move the mouse up 2cm (pixels? i don't know how do you measure distance on a screen?) from where the boards were linked before to the toolbar and click. :)
