can someone please clean up the Minneapolis bridge collapse thread?

It got a little out of hand (it's easy to joke if you're on the other side of the world but now I feel bad and it's way out of line) and I would appreciate if someone could get rid of the wrongness (including and after this post: Bridge collapse in Minneapolis )

thanks :-(

Oh, and especially this:
Bridge collapse in Minneapolis

Too soon, way too soon. (not wrong though, but still, we shouldn't have. not now)

thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it Stan, it doesn't look like anyone was hugely bothered about the thread and it would involve deleting a whole slew of posts in order to make the thread make sense, some of which possibly include other contributions. I think it's fine to leave it there.

Yeah, I don't think anyone needs to change anything (although I appreciate the effort). I was just trying to head off a roflfest before it led to me (or lurkers that might have legitimate reasons beyond my own) popping our cork and lashing out. No worries, nothing more to see here, etc.

As an amusing welcome bit of levity, I'm really glad I proofread that last sentence and didn't leave it as "pooping our cork".

OK, thanks everyone - I'll certainly remember the "oh no what have I started" feeling so I expect I'll think twice before posting possibly insensitive stuff on a thread like that in the future just for cheap laughs.
