in some ways I feel like the best thing we could do is to just block each of his username as he registers them.

this will obv. turn rapidly into a game of whack-a-mole between him & the mods, a struggle of wills, really, but right now we're not even putting up a fight, which seems to just embolden his ass to infest more and more threads with his bullshit. He said he would quit when we forced registration to post; then he said he would stick to his own threads; now he's everywhere, he even bothered to try trolling on the bug track board for the original ILX2 code project.

trying to train all the other users to recognize and disregard him seems like a losing battle. I think it might be better to just do whatever we can to at least show the fuck that his posting isn't to be tolerated, whether it shows results in the short run or not. Wear the asshole down.

i seriously doubt he uses one username at a time. as is often the case, there are half a dozen or so handles that are more or less currently active that give me NS vibes (including Heave Ho - check out his posts right here - tho maybe he's just emon or that frosted, pudgy Aus/NZ dude whatever). gershy, for instance, seems like a prime candidate.

Last time Nude Spock was banned, either Keith or Pash intercepted a flurry of usernames registered at once. Perhaps this one got through.

I'll take a quick look round his post but having read his contributions to the MIA thread I'm pretty willing to believe he's Nude Spock.

Also 'Richard Wood Johnson' is totally a Nude Spock sockpuppet name.
