I think Enrique encages at least some discussions with more than two-word posts, but Ed is basically OTM about Passantino. However, I think banning him for being irritating, boring and repetitive would be sorta questionable, so the best we can do is ignore him.

Can we pre-emptively ban Passantino in case he shuts down the discourse on the Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 thread? It's pretty much the last bastion of earnest discussion on ILE.

I don't really get it on this occasion - this seems pretty tame by Dom's standards and there is actually a point backing up the snark on the chain store thread.

He knows there's a line and crossing that line will get him banned again, but I don't think that line is here.

It's a bit of a vicious circle, Dom is going to carry on posting at this level for as long as he continues to be bored at work, and he's going to continue lacerating his writing career with every media-related post that screams 'hi dere future editor I am completely unmanageable', which only means he's going to continue being bored and unfulfilled at work and continue posting. And so it continues. It's quite funny when you think about it.
