Yr list: Tombot is a site moderator (ie he has admin on all the boards), not just ILE. The rest is mostly right, but I'd have to do loginid searches to get you names for all the mods, and don't have time tonight.

No special reason. FAQ are very out of date. It came up recently that no one was modding ILBB and curious bc of general cries for transparency on secret borad thread.

No one invited me to it. Someone posted a link to my blog. That's how I discovered it. I'm not out to censor anything. I just think that a thread seemingly devoted to rather pointed personal attacks is a kinda offsides.

How I encountered the thread isn't really the problem. I'm not sure an invitation to a character assassination party is really something I would really relish. I'm just put off by the very personal nature of the commentary. Maybe that sounds a bit rich coming from someone with a penchant for cartoonily vitriolic rants about pop music and pit bulls and charity muggers, but reading comments about my home, my wife, my income and whether or not I'm a suitable parent still come across as something of a shock. Am I supposed to be amused by this?

FAQ
