I get errors sending pings to other threads/sites. No big deal to me personally, I thought it was a neat feature but never saw the ultimate real utility in it.

i'll look into this. it should still work, and it's OK within ILX fo sure. i'll check external pings. got a good example site that should accept them?

ah but it doesn't work within ilx (I use ilx.wh3rd.net if it makes a difference). Here's a post of mine where I linked to another post and no trackback was generated, we'll see if one gets generated for this post here!
