Is there a procedure for when you've forgotten your password?

I have no idea why my login cookie went south on me during my two-week absence in July.I am tired of being unlogged, but none of the password variations I normally use are valid to log me in. I must've entered a novel password, rot me.

When I registered at ILx, I did leave a private, legitimate email address. Could one of the moderators please use this address to contact me with a method for getting logged back in?

If this isn't possible under current ILx policy, you might want to think about a failsafe procedure for resolving this common problem for others in the future. Thanks.

There is a page for this. It may or may not work depending on who you ask.

Go to the splash page, it should be under the login from/button at the top right. called something like passwordreset.php

If that doesn't work we can take more drastic measures.

I found it, used it and now I am successfully logged in again. Thank you.

BTW, IIRC, I tried this gambit at least once during my initial struggle to reestablish a working login and it failed on me. The reset code never arrived. It may be a matter of the access point used. Whatever routine you are calling to generate the reset code and the email may be getting bad data from at least one access point and failing, or the calling code may be buggy.

Be that as it may, I have regained my identity, so I am happy.
