hi.

i can't log in cuz i accidentally changed my main account email address to ...@g_mail.com i meant for this to be my public address only. to cap it off, my password isn't what i thought it was.

could someone change my email to @gmail so i can get change my email and get the confirmation to my email account?

i'd be much appreciative.

wait. that's not the problem. the problem is that i don't stay logged in. and... its not cookies. i think it's the apostrophes in my name.

i CAN log in, but then once i leave the "you're logged in" page, i'm not logged in.

SO...i'd like to change my name to dump the apostrophes.

John, I can't do anything, but you need to put this on the Moderator Request Board, which you can find if you go up to the main ILX screen.

haha, why was I under the impression I was somewhere else? How embarrassing. I apologise. I was trawling through the five smaller boards that I look in on, and was obviously mixed up about which I was on.

eight months pass...

bump.

it's been awhile and i'd like to just log in, but still can't because of above described weirdness.

the thrust of the problem seems to lie in my second post above, ie. the apostrophes in my user name. i can't stay logged in long enough to edit / delete this user name.

i'm going to rescind my lineage as the daughter of the landlord and see if that helps. not at the expense of proper grammar, of course, so i guess i will have to step out from under my father's watchful, landlord's eye and be someone else.

thank you for the help. who knew that apostrophes were such a nuisance?

yep teeny -- all is well. thank you very much for your help. i just gave myself a new email and a new name. i always wondered why the "settings" button never appeared at the bottom. you guys might want to put something in the FAQ about the toxic apostrophes.

hmm, i'd been having trouble logging in for a few weeks now (it says login successful, but then doesn't stick). and i don't have any apostrophes in my usual JuliaA login name. i've tried deleting cookies and history to no avail, and cookie settings seem normal. everything was working fine until i logged out by accident one day and ever since, can't get back in.

i just gave myself a new email

i'd really like to avoid this, if possible.

if a mod who can get change usernames reads this, i'm totally fine with a change of apostrophes to underscores. just send an email to let me know. in return i can offer warm vibes... or just let me know if you'd prefer something else.
